Hey friends. I haven’t posted in a while, honestly I didn’t think I would be getting back on here. After all, I only have three blog posts. 😂 I wanted to start this year a little different. I may start posting on here more, maybe not. All I know is that this up coming year, 2019, has a lot in store for me and my little family. I can just feel it! Out of all the goals I have in mind for this year, my main goal is what is posted above. Get closer to God.
Y’all listen. I know it’s a bit cliche and almost everyone says something along these lines but seriously, why would you not want to get closer to the one who thinks YOU are wonderful?!? 2018 has brought me so much closer to God, but I know that I can always be closer. Pray more, meditate more, be in the word more. SO. MUCH. MORE.
On that note, I’m going to throw this out there. We are ALL dirty ole sinners. Not a single one of us is better than the other. We are all loved the exact same by God Almighty and that should fill us with so much joy! It just amazes me how you can hit rock bottom, feel as though you have no one and STILL have God on your side. So in 2019 I myself will not only be focusing on getting closer to God but trying to love the way He has called me to love. That is His #1 command, for us to love others like he has loved us. Is it a struggle? HECK YEA IT IS! But did Christ hesitate to die for us even though it wasn’t pleasant? Nope. Listen, none of us are perfect and we will definitely fall short time and time again but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try! Let’s replace the worldly things surrounding us with Christ. Man, how much better would this world be if we all did that? We aren’t Christ (obviously) but we should always strive to be CHRIST-like. We’ve got this, friends. Positive vibes will radiate all through 2019. I can feel it.
